Notice:  These are the "unofficial" minutes of the Eminence Council Meeting.  By procedure, these minutes will not be official until after the next regular council meeting is held and minutes are approved.

EMINENCE, KENTUCKY  MARCH 24, 2008

SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES

The City Council of the City of Eminence, Kentucky met in a special session on Monday, March 24, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at the Eminence City Hall Council Chambers with Mayor Jim Petitt and the following members present: Treva Browning, Shawn Bright, and Drane Stephens. Absent were Members Danny Meadows, Richard Thomas and George Armstrong.

Other individuals present were Attorney William Brammell, City Clerk Sandra Doane, Police Chief Carey Duncan, Public Works Director William Smith, Police Major Kevin Kemper, Jerry Clark, Donald Young, Fred Downey, Mount Hadden, Henry County Local Representative Jonna Priester, Harold Chisholm, Doug Bates, Kathy Bright, Ronnie Kidwell, Dustin Hamilton, Joyce Meyer, Rose Ann Martin, Bob McGee, Rick Rynes, Helen Moore, Donald Aldridge, Fran Kelley, Doug Gingrich, Manda Gingrich, and Tommy Paul.

The purpose of the meeting being called was to hear a Mayor’s update; hear public comments; to discuss the swimming pool; and to discuss the swimming pool contract.

Mayor Petitt announced that due to no quorum being present the meeting cannot be held.

Mayor Petitt announced that he will not be calling another special meeting prior to the regular meeting to discuss the items on tonight’s agenda.

Mayor Petitt announced that at the next regularly scheduled council meeting he will dissolve the pool commission.
